Skye Gold has gone to the paddock at Rockmount after a very successful campaign that netted three wins. A disappointing run in last Saturday’s Group 3 Matron Stakes indicated to her trainer Peter Moody that the three-year-old daughter of Galileo had done enough this time in and we will give her at least two months off. We have no doubt she will be a stronger mare in the spring.
