$500,000 Plus for Dubleanny

A National Weanling Sale graduate, Dubleanny sent her earnings soaring over half a million dollars when she scored a thrilling win in the listed Straight Six (1200m) at Flemington on Saturday 21st May.

Dubleanny sat on the speed throughout and showed her usual fighting capabilities and her will to win when challenged over the concluding stages.

Like her last start stakes win in Adelaide, the winning margin wasn't big - but the performance was highly impressive.

"I thought that was a pretty good effort," trainer Mick Price said. "I think it was run number six this prep and she's had two trips to Adelaide and I don't think she's the best traveller".

"Last Saturday morning I didn't gallop her - I just gave her some even time, she had a gallop on Tuesday and had a good blow, so I was crossing fingers that she had enough fuel in the tank".

"She's pretty good and she loves the straight - I think thats about four out of five now".

"She'll probably go out now to Rockmount. I don't think there is much around for her. This was a nice listed race and she was well weighted".
