Debut Win for Derby Winner's Brother

The amazing run of success being enjoyed by the Peter Moody stable continued at Sale on Friday 19th March with an impressive debut win for Anacheeva, a full brother to AJC Australian Derby winner Headturner.

Backed into favouritism, the two-year old Anacheeva overcame an outside draw to win the 1200 metre maiden by three lenghts.

Purchased for $110,000 from the widden Stud draft at the 2009 Inglis Australian Easter Yearling Sale, Anacheeva (pictured as a yearling) is raced by the Rockmount Syndicate.

A full brother to $1.5 million earner Headturner and half-brother to stakes-winning sprinter Kroner, Anacheeva is the fourth winner for the Zabeel mare Monroe Magic (NZ).
