Sleek Anitra Ready To Sail

Sleek Anitra has returned to Peter Moody’s at Caulfield after spelling and water walking here at Rockmount. This filly has grown and matured since her last preparation and we are extremely hopeful of a successful spring campaign.

Sleek Anitra will be set for the 1,000 Guineas and her dominant last start win over 1400 at Flemington would indicate that she will easily stay a mile. She is one of only two Fastnet Rocks to have won over the 7 furlong distance, the other being Supreme Win in Hong Kong who did all his spelling and pretraining at Rockmount before being exported. Sleek Anitra is also the only Fastnet Rock filly to have won two races to date, winning both her starts decisively.

This year is the 50th anniversary of Anitra’s win in the Fastnet Rock yacht race and we hope to emulate that victory with a momentous win of our own this spring.
