Big Future For Shamoline Warrior

South Australian Derby winner Rebel Raider’s half brother Shamoline Warrior showed above average ability when making debut at Sale on the 30th of April.

The Mark Kavanagh trained and Rockmount pretrained two-year-old appeared to be spotting the leaders, and eventual placegetters, an unassailable margin at the top of the straight before storming home to claim the prize.

“This was only a maiden at Sale and there’s a long way to go to get to the heights you’d like to but he’s got quite a big future I think.” Winning jockey Michael Rodd said.

Shamoline Warrior is by Darley shuttle stallion Shamardal and is the second foal of the former smart mare Picholine who finished second behind the ill fated Unworldly in the Group 1 Flight Stakes.
