Dr Doute's Bounces Back Leading Flemington trainer Mark Kavanagh notched up an interstate double when proven stakes winning colt Dr Doute’s thumped his rivals in the listed City Of Adelaide Stakes at Morphettville on Saturday. A well related youngster by super sire Redoute’s Choice, Dr Doute’s hardly seemed to get out of second gear as he circled the field and dashed to the front at the top of the straight. The result was never in doubt as Steven King rode him out hands and heels to win by almost two lengths. “he did a very good job today,” Kavanagh said from Sydney. “I was very happy to see him perform so well.” “He looked very well placed today and raced accordingly,” he added. The win was the second for Kavanagh on the day following the victory of Ace Harmony at Caulfield earlier in the afternoon. Both horses are pretrained here at Rockmount. |
