Spring Stars Unwind At Rockmount

Handsome grey gelding Orange County has returned to Rockmount for a well earned break after a successful spring campaign which saw him take out the Group 1 MRC Sir Rupert Clarke Stakes in great style.

Orange County, a 5 year old gelded son of Volksraad, has always been a favourite here at Rockmount and we were thrilled to see his ability vindicated by such a great win.

Relaxation is the current ‘name of the game’ for classy New Zealand galloper Nom Du Jeu who is enjoying a spell at Rockmount until he returns to New Zealand later this month.

The good looking entire son of Montjeu recently flashed home for 2nd in the Caulfield Cup and ran a gallant 8th in the Melbourne Cup. Trainer Murray Baker has indicated Europe may be the next conquest for the four-year-old.
