Leading Trainers

End of season training statistics show that 8 of the top 10 leading Melbourne metropolitan trainers have used Rockmount's facilities in the past calender year. Lee Freedman had a terrific season and, even without stable stalwart Makybe Diva, his stable should enjoy a wonderful spring with the likes of Discorsi, Living Hell and Swish Trish.

Peter Moody, who will train Rockmount's own horses this year, had a great year with 170 winners including 52 Melbourne metro wins alone. A winner a week in town is good going!

Brian Mayfield-Smith's stable is ready for a big year also.Brian is a great supporter of Rockmount and, together with his and our association with Darley, we are looking forward to the exploits of Hachiman, Diamond Jake, Art House and others.

Mick Price had a wonderful season and we are anticipating a strong spring for M.G.Price and his team especially with Rockmount graduates Perfectly Ready and Lectrice. Mick should also have some interesting 2 year olds coming through especially the Devon Park Stud homebreds.
