Easy For Estee She’s the result of a mating between champion sire Redoute’s Choice and champion race mare Tycoon Lil, so it was no surprise to see boom filly Estee make a winning debut at Sandown on Wednesday February 6th. Racing in the colours of Darley Australia, $2.1 million filly Estee settled beautifully for Corey Brown and when asked for an effort in the straight, the Rockmount speller and pretrainer burst through along the inside to score a soft half length win in the 1200 metre event. “We haven’t pushed her at all and she is nowhere near trained up, but good fillies can do these sorts of things when they are not really ready,” said Lee Freedman. At this stage, Freedman seems happy to train Estee up for a tilt at the Golden Slipper. |
