Victoria's renowned thoroughbred pretraining facility

Rockmount is a thoroughbred pretraining facility of approximately 200 acres nestled in the Strathbogie Ranges at Longwood, just 90 minutes north east of Melbourne along the Hume Highway. The name Rockmount originates from the highly visible and stunning granite structures that rise from the western slopes of the property.

What we do

The property caters for pretraining, spelling and rehabilitation of thoroughbred racehorses. For detail see Facilities and Services.

The complex runs under the expert management of Damian Murphy and his team.

The country offers an exceptional balance of gentle rolling improved pasture to heavy carrying creek flats. Water is abundant with a large spring fed dam servicing the entire infrastructure.
